Firstly, the absolutely amazing "Flannel Pajamas" 2024 grand cru, from Camp Beer Co in Langley. Licorice and and thick molassess, sweet and dark with nice tangy aftertaste. 10% and not that complex, easy to drink.
Secondly, Conjurer of Cheap Tricks, a barrel aged imperial stout; not the cheapest beer but very balanced yet deeply complicated from Backcountry brewing in Squamish BC. They releases some amazing beers recently, and this one is very strong. For more Squamish breweries, read here.
Thirdly, the always highly recommended Garun - read more here!
And fourth: check out the Origin of Darkness from Collective Arts from Ontario, who always have great beer and great can designs.
Finally, the always strong Speedway Stout. I've written about the regular Speedway Stout and the special edition before; haven't seen the latter for a while, but the regular one is always a great solid stout when you want no frills.
