Europe Brewery: Kloosterbrouwerij Steyl

POST UNDER DEVELOPMENT

One of the best discoveries of our bike tour was the small town of Steyl in south-eastern Netherlands.  Expect a post soon about this town, but for now, wanted to highlight the awesome brewery: "Klooster brouwerij Steyl" (Abbey Brewery Steyl).  Note that the brewery is hard to find as Google-maps shows the location somewhat ambiguously the entrance is from St Michael street through an alley.

This is a small scale family operated brewery, started in 2018, with a variety of high quality beer.   Listen to the many languages you will hear on the patio - Dutch, German, French and English - as the patrons effortlessly switch from one to the other.    Enjoy the sounds of birds, have a conversation with the owner and experience his passion about craft beer ("ambachtelijk').  Stroll through the town, marvel at the museum and finally - definitely book a visit to the "Ketelhuis" - more details to come on that!
