Last time we met it was a low-lit room

Black Kettle's Lights-Out Stout, 5.2%

can of lights-out stout

Not a stout at all!  More like someone had a bunch of left-overs in the various barrels and figured "might as well".  Has a bit of a sour, a bit of a dark ale, and yes, some scraped-from-the-bottom stout after the fire was put out but the barrel is smoking.  Not bad, just mostly very unexpected flavours.

Here is Black Kettle's own write-up: "Oatmeal stout carbonated and poured on nitrogen. Pours a cascading tight knit sandstone brown coloured head over a jet black body. Prevalent aromas include light smoke, salted bacon, and dark roast coffee. A smooth body has flavors of light chocolate, caffe macchiato, vanilla barrel, and herbal tobacco."

Container Brewing Seawise Giant Stout

Sweet smell of honey and thick umami feel.  Last embers of the wood fire when the night gets quiet with the flavour of dew on the grass.

Monk's Stout Dupont, 5.2%

OMG this one turned my smile upside down and it was about to be sacrificed to the drain gods, but we decided to give it a second chance in life by adulterating it with some good Lafroig Quarter Cask which can sometimes save the unredeemable.

And TBH it totally did, the peat-flavour totally compensated for the bad humours and it became very drinkable.  Dont' try this alone.
