The joy of the moment, the beauty of song and performance and the enthusiasm of the audience leaves me with an extra skip in my step after the show.

Mabon, the Feast of the Ingathering, a modern pagan celebration of harvest, recognizing the need to share and asking for blessings for the upcoming winter.

Yet again, Delica Cee the Witch of East Van who occasionally forgets where she put her keys, definitely found the keys to our hearts with all her wiles - possibly excepting the biscuit song which beguiled but mostly confunded the audience.

Check out their instagram profile for a view of more costumes.

I have never seen such a compelling costume dramatic act as performed by ABB'Original "Your mean Plains Cree auntie. Mostly a drag, sometimes a queen." The alignment of music, costume, dance and expression and the immaculate humour left the audience breathless.

The witch of East Vancouver, Delica Cee is here to bewitch and beguile with gags, tricks, stupidity, and if course a little magic. Mother of the Cee Section and friend of neighborhood crows, Delica Cee isn’t sure where she left her keys.

This event is one part witch craft, one part drag, with a pinch of Camp. Poetry and Poi and a sprinkling of ukelele Dion. This group of professionally trained and exceptionally talented artists put on a stellar performance.

The audience was duly enthralled.

Bewitched

The Middle English word wicche did not differentiate between feminine and masculine, however the masculine meaning became less common in Standard English, being replaced by words like "wizard" and "warlock". The modern spelling witch with the medial 't' first appears in the 16th century. In current colloquial English witch is almost exclusively applied to women, and the OED has "now only dialectal" for the masculine noun.

Tara Beladi (Drag Performer. Ukulele Cover Artíste. Book Bitch) brought colour to Celine and solid sound scape to the stage.

Homo Hardware (💪Burlesquing Masculinity since 2019) , delivered their hilarious and heartfelt standup comedy from the trenches of transition.
