A great find at The Gull: Fremont's "B-Bomb" 2021 limited edition:
"aged in 8–12-year-old American Oak bourbon barrels and is a blend of 9, 12, and 24-month old barrel-aged Winter Ale"
This beer should be drunk from a cognac glass, on a cold summer evening at a slowly dying camp fire, listening to a friend describe the vibrant colours and fragrances of far away market places, staring at the flames, savouring each sip. Fragrance like an autumn forest after the rain.
Smoothness of molasses and silky feel of nitro, slight coffee flavour and headiness.
Fremont brewing is in the cool Fremont area (I know, right?) of Seattle and I can't believe I have not visited!
