Dagenraad 10 degrees

From the Dageraad site (which is well worth the visit - a lot of history!): "Dageraad 10° is our secular homage to the strong, dark ales brewed by Trappist monks in Belgium. The strength of the wort and the addition of exotic, unrefined sugars has tormented the yeast into producing magnificently complex fruit and spice notes to complement the beer’s malty profundity. Its flavour will develop for up to three years in the bottle if properly stored."

A great beer from Dagenraad, absolutely amazing and a new favourite -hard to get though (even from The Gull). Taste of coriander and of course the hard to describe but unmistakable taste of Belgian style beer.

Like a gentle granola breakfast, with smooth grains, nuts and a honey flavour. You really get the full awesome brewery smell and flavour with this one, and the umami feeling coats your mouth touched by the tingle of the alcohol; a solid 10.5%.
